Communications that help important work reach further

SO.RC brings together experience across research, health, charities, public engagement and digital strategy to help organisations communicate complex work more clearly and effectively.

The projects below span previous communications leadership roles, independent work and founder-built ventures. They demonstrate the judgement, care and delivery experience now brought to SO.RC engagements.

Featured work

Every project begins with a different challenge. Some organisations need stronger messaging. Others need complex evidence translated, a communications foundation established or additional capacity alongside their team. These selected projects show the approach Success has taken and the results that followed.

Specialist women’s charity
communications leadership and organisational work
Building a stronger digital presence for a frontline organisation

A specialist women’s charity was delivering essential frontline services, advocacy and public education, but limited communications capacity made it difficult to communicate its work and impact consistently.

The challenge

Important reports, services, campaigns and organisational updates needed stronger visibility.

Communications responsibilities were spread across colleagues whose primary focus was frontline and programme delivery. The organisation needed a more consistent way to reach supporters, funders, stakeholders and the communities it served.

The approach
  • communications strategy and planning;

  • campaign and social content;

  • report promotion;

  • newsletters and stakeholder communications;

  • website and digital content support;

  • reusable templates and content systems;

  • performance monitoring and recommendations.

C2REST: Climate Change and Respiratory Health
climate health research
Making international health research more accessible

C2REST brought together researchers working across climate change, respiratory health and public health resilience.

Through her university communications role, Success supported the programme in making complex research more accessible to public, policy, stakeholder and academic audiences.

The challenge

The work crossed several technical disciplines. Without accessible communications, important programme developments and research findings risked remaining difficult to understand outside specialist communities. The team also needed consistent public-facing content and a clearer record of dissemination and engagement activity.

The approach
  • programme messaging;

  • website and project content;

  • research translation;

  • public and stakeholder communications;

  • social and campaign updates;

  • event communications;

  • communications planning;

  • documenting dissemination and engagement activity.

One health policy paper, 2,000+ people reached in two weeks
Turning one academic publication into multiple audience-ready formats

A peer-reviewed health policy paper contained timely evidence and recommendations, but publication alone would not ensure that the work reached practitioners, policymakers or wider public audiences.

The challenge

The paper was written for an academic readership and contained specialist language, detailed evidence and formal recommendations.

It needed to be made more accessible without oversimplifying the research or weakening the credibility of the original publication.
